Saturday October 24, 2009 thought for today

A BEAUTIFUL FALL SCENE

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-You never get a second chance to make a first impression-
2-Give more attention to what you are becoming than what you used to be-
3-If you keep your customers happy, they will keep you in business-
4-Before you say "I can't" say "I'll try"-
5-We are most like beasts when we kill, we are most like man when we judge, and we are most like God when we forgive-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Camping is nature's way of promoting the motel business-

I'VE LEARNED-No one ever learned to walk by instruction-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-The name "God" is never mentioned in the biblical book of Esther nor is Esther referred to in the new testament. So why is it a book of the Bible?
2-What is "sackcloth"?
3-Is the word tithe strictly a religious term?
4-When and where did Job live?
5-Was Job a real person that actually lived?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What was the first dream mentioned in the bible?
Yesterday's answer-Stephen (Acts 6:7-8:2)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 90:1-10
1 Lord, you have been our home since the beginning.
2 Before the mountains were born and before you created the earth and the world, you are God. You have always been and you will always be.
3 You turn people back into dust. You say, "Go back into dust, human beings."
4 To you, a thousand years is like the passing of a day, or like a few hours in the night.
5 While people sleep, you take their lives. They are like grass that grows up in the morning.
6 In the morning they are fresh and new, but by evening they dry up and die.
7 We are destroyed by your anger; we are terrified by your hot anger.
8 You have put the evil we have done right in front of you; you clearly see our secret sins.
9 All our days pass while you are angry. Our years end with a moan.
10 Our lifetime is seventy years or, if we are strong, eighty years. But the years are full of hard work and pain. They pass quickly, and then we are gone.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
