Sunday October 25, 2009 thought for the day

A PRETTY FALL SCENE

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Forgiveness--I give up my right to hurt you for hurting me-
2-It is better to build children than to repair adults-
3-Whatever you withhold in marriage becomes a point of contention in that marriage-
4-Don't complain about farmers with your mouth full-
5-Those who love are never alone-

STRANGE THOUGHT-To make a long story short, don't tell it-

I'VE LEARNED-What you might have been is still possible-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why is Jesus's birth date 3-4BC instead of 0 BC/AD?
2-Why did Herod the Great, a Roman, rebuild the temple at Jerusalem?
3-Why would Mary be willing to birth Jesus when she would appear to be having a child out to wedlock? Was there no stigma attached to having a child when not married?
4-Did Mary truly understand all that her baby Jesus would be?
5-Did Jesus have any living grandparents? If so, would there have been any interaction with them?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What is the first war mentioned in the Bible?
Yesterday's answer-The dream of Abimelech, in which he was told to return Sarah to Abraham (Genesis
20:3-8)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 90:11-17
11 Who knows the full power of your anger? Your anger is as great as our fear of you should be.
12 Teach us how short our lives really are so that we may be wise.
13 Lord, how long before you return and show kindness to your servants?
14 Fill us with your love every morning. Then we will sing and rejoice all our lives.
15 We have seen years of trouble. Now give us as much joy as you gave us sorrow.
16 Show your servants the wonderful things you do; show your greatness to their children.
17 Lord our God, treat us well. Give us success in what we do; yes, give us success in what we do.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
