PRETTY COUNTRY CHURCH
(SORRY THIS IS LATE TODAY! PAT AND I SPENT THE DAY WITH HER MOTHER IN THE HOSPITAL THINKING THIS MIGHT BE HER LAST DAY OF LIFE. BUT AS GOD WOULD HAVE IT, SHE RALLIED, AT LEAST FOR TODAY. BUT, LONG TERM PROGNOSIS IS NOT GOOD.)
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY-
1-Kindness is the oil that takes the friction out of life-
2-People who are hurting don't need a tongue lashing, they need a tender touch-
3-Hurt people, hurt people-
4-Often, the more you get of what you want, the less you want of what you get-
5-No one finds a real deep communion with God until he has met adversity and been forced to a point that he is broken, utterly helpless before God-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Flattery is okay so long as you don't inhale-
I'VE LEARNED-God of second chances and new beginnings, here I come again-

8 Lord God All Powerful, hear my prayer; God of Jacob, listen to me.
9 God, look at our shield; be kind to your appointed king.
10 One day in the courtyard of your Temple is better than a thousand days anywhere else. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the Temple of my God than live in the home of the wicked.
11 The Lord God is like a sun and shield; the Lord gives us kindness and honor. He does not hold back anything good from those whose live are innocent.
12 Lord All Powerful, happy are the people who trust you!
