Thursday October 1, 2009 thought for the day

PRETTY FALL COLORS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Worry comes from the realization that we are powerless to affect change and our lack of faith in God who can-
2-We cannot all do great things but we can do small things with great love-
3-All that I will someday be God can see today-
4-Live in such a way that there will be no regrets when someone else follows in your footsteps-
5-Don't worry about tomorrow for God is already there-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A bookstore is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking-
I'VE LEARNED-Imitation is not duplication-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Has Jesus always been the only way to God?
2-Why does the bible not say from what countries the wise men were from?
3-There were developed civilizations in other parts of the world both before and during Jesus' time. How did God communicate with them and what about their eternal life?
4-Are people "lost" who never hear about Jesus? What about those who've never heard even for thousands of years both before and after Jesus' life?
5-Were the Hebrews the only peoples that God contacted and communicated with?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What is the only book in the bible to mention God laughing?
Yesterday's answer-The women of Israel (1 Samuel 18:6-7)
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALMS 78:65-72
65 Then the Lord got up as if he had been asleep; he awoke like a man who had been drunk with wine.
66 He struck down his enemies and disgraced them forever.
67 But God rejected the family of Joseph; he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim.
68 Instead, he chose the tribe of Judah and Mount Zion which he loves.
69 And he built his Temple high like the mountains. Like the earth, he built it to last forever.
70 He chose David to be his servant and took him from the sheep pens.
71 He brought him from tending the sheep so he could lead the flock, the people of Jacob.
72 And David led them with an innocent heart and guided them with skillful hands.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
