Friday August 10, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Failure does not equal defeat-
2-If life is full of headaches, perhaps you have been filling your head with the wrong stuff-
3-To someone else, you may be he hand of God reaching out and helping them up-
4-Feelings of inferiority are Satan's attempt to deny the power of God within you-
5-One good thing about failure, you appreciate the victory all the more-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why do banks leave the vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counter-

I'VE LEARNED-If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it-

DID YOU KNOW-Americans spend more than $630 million a year on golf balls-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-Is it possible to be merciful to everyone?
2-Is the "Lord's prayer" to be prayed or an example of how we should pray?
3-Is the "Lord's prayer" all inclusive or are there other things we should pray about also?
4-What is God's forgiveness conditional on?
5-What did Jesus mean when he said, "Don't pile up treasures here on earth"?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What two women brought about the execution of John the Baptist?
Yesterday's answer-Hazael   @ Kings 8:7,15

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Matthew  25:14-18
14 "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who was going to another place for a visit. Before he left, he called for his servants and told them to take care of his things while he was gone. 15 He gave one servant five bags of gold, another servant two bags of gold, and a third servant one bag of gold, to each one as much as he could handle. Then he left.16 The servant who got five bags went quickly to invest the money and earned five more bags.17 In the same way, the servant who had two bags invested them and earned two more. 18 But the servant who got one bag went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid the master's money.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Jesus, in the maze of life’s events where we’re often a passenger on the rollercoaster of life’s ups and downs, may we never lose sight of You.  You are the unseen but ever-present Shepherd who protects, guides and tenderly comforts us in all our trouble. Thank You, Lord, that when change is constantly about us, You remain steadfast, faithful, and dependable.  You are the Anchor that keeps us grounded in the unseen eternal truths that we build our lives upon.  Keep us faithful and help us to always believe!  Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
