Wednesday August 8, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-At their best, material things will last till the day you die, love lasts forever-
2-Make people your priority and the best things in life will come to you-
3-Start the day with love and love will carry you through the day-
4-All you need to be a world changer is love because love changes everything it touches-
5-The get the most in everyday, look for the good in every situation-
STRANGE THOUGHT-If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid-
I'VE LEARNED-Don't hurt others just because you are hurt-
DID YOU KNOW-The Super Bowl is broadcast in 182 countries.  That is more than 88 percent of the countries in the world-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Since Jesus was God and the Son of God, why did he have to pray?
2-Did Jesus know before being born of Mary, God's will for his human life?
3-Did God ask Jesus to become the Savior or did God just send Jesus?
4-When Jesus was on earth, was heaven one person short of the trinity?
5-Now that Jesus is back in heaven, does he still pray to the father?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What Christian witness was killed by the people of Pergamos?
Yesterday's answer-   Amon  2 Kings 21:23
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Matthew 24:45-51
45 "Who is the wise and loyal servant that the master trusts to give the other servants their food at the right time? 46 When the master comes and finds the servant doing his work, the servant will be blessed.47 I tell you the truth, the master will choose that servant to take care of everything he owns.48 But suppose that evil servant thinks to himself, 'My master will not come back soon,'49 and he begins to beat the other servants and eat and get drunk with others like him?50 The master will come when that servant is not ready and is not expecting him. 51 Then the master will cut him in pieces and send him away to be with the hypocrites, where people will cry and grind their teeth with pain.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Jesus, You spoke through the angels, the prophets, the disciples, the apostles and You speak through the Scriptures and godly messengers today.  Even as the apostle Paul declared, “Today is the day of salvation” and we also apply that same message today to our generation.  May Your Spirit speak to our hearts about not ignoring or delaying life’s most important decision.  You’ve not told us that we have to clean up our act before we can come to You.  That’s because You know it’s impossible for us to do so.  It is only by knowing You personally through salvation that we can be free of the sins that so easily entangle our lives.  It is after we receive Your forgiveness that the joyful journey of our salvation begins.  For those of us who have received this wonderful gift we rejoice in the God of our salvation, for God the Lord is our strength.
LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
