Thursday August 16, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Don't believe in miracles, rely on them-
2-You can't be comfortable without your own approval-
3-Don't be irreplaceable for if you can't be replaced you can't be promoted-
4-It is possible to serve in church for a lifetime without being a servant if you don't have a servants heart-
5There is nothing in the Christian concept of love that requires you to support an enemy's desire to destroy you-

STRANGE THOUGHT-He that knows not and knows not that he knows not, he is a fool-

I'VE LEARNED-Sometimes burning bridges isn't a bad thing.  It prevents you from going back to a place you should never have been to begin with-

DID YOU KNOW-The only person to play golf on the moon was Alan Shepard.  His golf ball was never found.

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Whatever happened to Phinehas' son named Ichabod?
2-Will God give his people a "two minute warning" before Jesus returns?
3-How does worrying help you?
4-Birds don't sow, reap or store up, yet God provides for them.  Are we different from them that we must do so?
5-If we don't sow, reap and store up, will God provide all things for us?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What saintly deacon was murdered by the Jewish elders for his testimony?
Yesterday's answer-Joash   2 Kings 12:20-21

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Matthew 25:37-40
37 "Then the good people will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you alone and away from home and invite you into our house? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?'
40 "Then the King will answer, 'I tell you the truth, anything you did for even the least of my people here, you also did for me.'
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, though there are many ups and downs, highs and lows one thing we hope others observe about our life is that we are continually serving our Lord and Savior no matter what. May we never sell out to appease others or due to fear regarding the consequences of our public stand for You. More important than what is spoken about us on this side are the words we long to hear You say in the hereafter, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joys of heaven…” How we look forward to that future blessed event, through the mercy of Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
