Tuesday August 14, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-If you are not wiser tomorrow than you were yesterday you're not very wise-
2-A wise person changes his mind sometimes but a fool never does-
3-By others faults, wise men correct their own-
4-A good deal of trouble has been caused in the world by people having too much knowledge and too little wisdom-
5-A wise man does not hesitate to admit he has been in the wrong-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Do not judge others just because they sin differently than you-

I'VE LEARNED-Happiness will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they already have-

DID YOU KNOW-Many Japanese golfers carry hole in one insurance, because it is traditional in Japan to share one's good luck by sending gifts to all your friends when you get an ace-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was there anyone else that lived with Eli to help him administer his duties?
2-Did Samuel have any other boys that could have been appointed judges?
3-How many times did the Israelites turn away from God and then return to him?
4-What is the difference in patience and long suffering?
5-Why did Samuel's two sons not follow in the faith of their father?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What king of Assyria was murdered at worship by his two sons?
Yesterday's answer-Ishbosheth  2 Samuel 4:6

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Matthew 25:28-30
28 "So the master told his other servants, 'Take the bag of gold from that servant and give it to the servant who has ten bags of gold. 29 Those who have much will get more, and they will have much more than they need. But those who do not have much will have everything taken away from them.' 30 Then the master said, 'Throw that useless servant outside, into the darkness where people will cry and grind their teeth with pain.'

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, You provide the answers to life’s questions about everything that concerns us. In answer to life’s greatest question, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” You sent Your Son to be our Savior who would die for our sins so that we might be forgiven and receive an abundant life here on earth and an eternal life in heaven. We are learning to trust in You with all our hearts and not rely on our own understanding. We want to acknowledge You in all areas of our life so that we will seek You above all and the counsel in Your Holy Word for the answers to life’s questions. Jesus truly is the answer for the world today, for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
