Saturday April 19, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Don't deceive yourself thinking that if you always say yes, you will never have to say no-
2-Compromise does not erase the tension, it only weakens our resolve-
3-You need to make up your mind (resolve) before you know how your story ends.  With right choices you choose the end of the story-
4-Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behavior does-
5-Life is not the way it is supposed to be.  It is the way it is.  The way you cope with it is what makes the difference-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Is there ever a day when mattresses are not on sale?
I'VE LEARNED-Until you value yourself you will not value your time.  Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it-
DID YOU KNOW-Women shoplift more often than men.  The statistics are four to one-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why is the Old Testament so filled with violent slaughtering of neighbor men, women, children and all animals?
2-Why does the Bible say an evil spirit from God came over Saul?
3-David was age 30 when he became king and Jesus was age 30 when he started his ministry.  Anything important in this?
4-When David danced naked before the Lord and the slave girls of his servants, was he vulgar as his wife Michal said he was?
5-Did David repent of his sin with Bathsheba and her husband and was he remorseful?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Joshua encountered an angel who was captain of the host of the Lord.  What was the angel's purpose in appearing to Joshua?
Answer for today   To give him instructions on conquering Jericho    Joshua 5:13-15
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY  John 10:17-18
17 The Father loves me because I give my life so that I can take it back again. 18 No one takes it away from me; I give my own life freely. I have the right to give my life, and I have the right to take it back. This is what my Father commanded me to do.”
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Thankful man
Father, You have set in each of us a heart for eternity. We don’t think or act just in terms of our temporal lives but we also give our attention to our eternal dwelling. We can be sure of our future residence by confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in our heart that You raised Him from the dead. This results in a changed life as we repent of our sins and seek to live a life in obedience to You. We are saved from our sins and the penalty of those sins because Jesus bore them on the cross. Therefore we confess with our lips and believe in our hearts that You raised Jesus from the dead providing life evermore to those of us who truly believe. Thank You for Jesus in whose name we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
