Wednesday April 2, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Without unconditional acceptance, there is no unconditional love-
2-Envy is usually an expression of insecurity for when we feel inferior we get envious-
3-Envy is to your soul what cancer is to your body-
4-Because envy is usually a hidden sin, we tend to think it is not as bad as open ones-
5-As long as we have memories, yesterday remains.  As long as we have hope, tomorrow awaits.  As long as we have friendship, each day is never a waste-

STRANGE THOUGHT-When it threatens to rain it is clouding up, when the sun comes out it is clearing up-

I'VE LEARNED-You reap after you sow, but not before-

DID YOU KNOW-Seventy percent of all boats sold are used in fishing-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How could the priests of Moses' day remember everything they needed to know or do?
2-Were there thousands or hundreds of thousands of sacrifices of animals or birds each year by all the millions of Israelite people of Moses' day?
3-In Moses' day, were animals born and raised just to be sacrificed?
4-Why did God allow Moses to change God's mind about destroying the Israelite people?
5-Moses told the Levite man to put on a sword and go kill their brother, friend and neighbor and about 3000 died.  What is this, the killing of their own?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Whom did God ask?  "Son of man, can these bones live?
Answer for today   Ezekiel   37:3

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Philippians 4:8
Brothers and sisters, think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, in Your compassion You crush our sins under Your feet and throw them in the depths of the ocean, to be remembered no more.  And yet there are times when we have great difficulty letting go of past sins to the extent of dwelling on them and getting weighed down by guilt and self-condemnation.  Help us to let go of that which You have forgiven.  If we are to remember anything of our past, let it be that which brings glory to You as we share with others that which You have forgiven and delivered us from.  May the contrast of our former lives not bring up condemnation which You have freed us from, but instead provide witness that there is nothing beyond Your merciful pardon.  To God be the glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
