Sunday April 13, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The wise person makes decisions based not on simply today, but on tomorrow and the days after that also-
2-A fool is a person who knows the difference between right and wrong but doesn't care-
3-If we have friends who don't care about their own lives, they won't be concerned about ours either-
4-When it comes to our own finances, what needs guarding is not our money but our heart-
5-God wants to be the master and ruler of our lives, not our backup plan-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check to see when you say the paint is wet?

I'VE LEAREND-When you delight in giving to others, you free yourself financially-

DID YOU KNOW-Odds of being killed by falling out of bed are one in two million-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-If no one was to work on the Sabbath, what did the shepherds do?  Who took care of the sheep (which represented wealth)?
2-Why did God rest on the 7th day?.  Was he really resting?  Was he tired?
3-What did God mean when he said "You may not do any work on the Sabbath?
4-Did Jesus do away with all the laws and regulations that God had given Moses for the Israelites to live by?
5-Why do we select the 10 commandments out of all the laws given by God to Moses for the Israelite people and ignore all the rest?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Whom did God ask?-"Is anything too hard for the Lord?"
Answer for today     Abraham    Genesis 18:13

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Psalm 51:10-12
10 Create in me a pure heart, God,
And make my spirit right again.
11 Do not send me away from you
Or take your Holy Spirit away from me.
12 Give me back the joy of your salvation.
Keep me strong by giving me a willing spirit.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Thankful man
Father, there are so many gray areas in life where we  may differ with our own family or even the best of friends. We may vary in our preferences of personality styles, giftings, and tastes. But when it comes to the eternal truths, unchanging principles and commands of Scripture it is not for us to pick and choose. We must give full attention to the words of Scripture and build a godly heritage that we can pass on to our children and our children’s children. We must uphold and teach the Scriptures that are able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. We want to remain steadfast and faint not as we seek to be people of deep conviction with growing faith and sterling character, making a positive difference in our sphere of influence. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
