Thursday April 17, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-"The integrity of the upright guides them"-
2-Future regrets can be avoided if you set guardrails-
3-Personal guardrails are not to keep you out, but to keep you safe-
4-Greed is the assumption that it is all for our consumption-
5-The secret to successful living--give, save, spend-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but he ducks when you throw something at him-

I'VE LEARNED-You don't have a soul.  You are a soul, you have a body-

DID YOU KNOW-Experienced waitresses say that married men tip better than unmarried men-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why so often does a good example of a son refuse to follow in the steps of a Godly father?
2-In many Israelite battles there were hugh numbers of fatalities reported.  Who figured them and how was it calculated?
3-How long was Samson and his Philistine wife married?
4-How was it possible Samson killed so many men single handedly?
5- Delilah said to Samson "How can you say "I love you" but not confide in me".  Was this the first time in scripture the phrase "I love you" was recorded?

BIBLE TRIVA-What apostle was released from prison by an angel who opened the prison's iron gate?
Answer for today   Peter   Acts 12:1-19

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his followers, “If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Thankful man
Father, we are advised by the apostle James to ask for any wisdom we lack, and You will give generously to us that which we ask. So much wisdom is attained by carefully reading, studying, and applying the Scripture. Additional wisdom is granted through the experiences we go through in life and also observing others, their response to critical situations along with their life choices and the results that follow. There are many things we observe and learn as we go through life’s journey. Help us to hold on to that which will profit us, that which will benefit or broaden our understanding. Enable us to reject and dispense of that which is in direct contrast to Your Holy Word so that we are not led astray or misguided by teachings the world deems to be knowledgeable or wise. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
