Saturday April 12, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-A clear conscience does not make you innocent-
2-Bad company corrupts good character-
3-Where there is no law, there is no transgression-
4-Friends greatly influence the direction and quality of our lives-
5-"Walk  with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm"-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why do banks charge a fee on insufficient funds when they know there is not enough?

I'VE LEARNED-Generosity breeds generosity-

DID YOU KNOW-Odds of being killed by a tornado are one in two million-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-God told Moses the Israelites were to give him the first born of their sons as well as with their cattle and sheep.  How was this done?
2-Why do Christians today not have to follow all the laws given by God to Moses for the Israelites?
3-Did Jesus' life, death and resurrection negate or make null and void all the laws God gave to Moses for the Israelites?
4-God told Moses the Israelites were to set aside a tenth of all the field produced and to eat the tithe of the grain, new wine and oil and the first born of their herds and flocks in the presence of the Lord.  Why were they instructed to do this?
5-God told Moses the Israelites every three years were to bring the tithe of the years produce and store it in the towns for those who needed it.  Why don't we do that today?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Whom did God ask?-"Have I not commanded thee?  Be strong and of good courage, be not afraid?
Answer for today    Joshua   1:1,9

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Psalm 51:4
You are the only one I have sinned against;
I have done what you say is wrong.
You are right when you speak
    And fair when you judge.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Thankful man
Father, it has been written that he who stands for nothing will fall for anything. Most within our generation stand for very little that has eternal value, in great part because they were never instructed in the Scriptures and had no godly example to follow. We want to fill in that chasm by being hearers and doers of the Word, leading men and women, boys and girls into a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus. We are convinced of these teachings by the Holy Spirit, by men and women of deep faith who led and instructed us, and by our own defining experiences in life. Help us to stand unashamedly and fearlessly as people of deep conviction so that we can.  Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
