Monday April 14, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-One of the biggest decisions we can make is to affirm for all time that God knows and cares about us-
2-Money is often the leading competitor in our hearts to our devotion to God-
3-Our desires and appetites are never fully and finally satisfied.  They always come back for more-
4-When you are with friends you trust, you drop your guard-
5-So many of our life regrets were done when we were with "friends"-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of a bottle?

I'VE LEARNED-When you delight in giving to others, you free yourself financially-

DID YOU KNOW-Odds of being killed in a car crash are one in five thousand-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Of all the feasts, offerings and sacrifices required of the Israelites, there is no requirement for fasting except the annual day of atonement.  Why?
2-How many animals were sacrificed every year by all the Israelites for all their feasts, sacrifices and burnt offerings?
3-How could the smell of burned meat of the sacrificed animals be a pleasing aroma to God?
4-What does the term "the family of the unsandled" mean?
5-Why did the early Mosaic law not speak against polygamy or incest?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Whom did God ask?-"Hast thou killed, and also taken possession?"
Answer for today    Ahab  1 Kings 21:19

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Philippians 2:3
When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor to others than to yourselves.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Thankful man
Father, as we corporately worship we come together, both young and old, from various ethnic, social and spiritual backgrounds.  Some of us were raised by godly parents and early on chose to follow in Your ways; others more recently enlisting in Your service. There is so much to be gained from young and new in the faith. And we learn so much from the older. We learn from each other and we increase our faith as we continue in that which we have learned and become convinced of because we know those people from whom we learned it. We have seen the commendable results exemplified in their lives and aspire to implement the good into our own. Keep us keeping on in You we pray, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!
