Friday January 10, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Don't open your umbrella until it starts to rain-
2-The healthiest human emotion is not love but gratitude-
3-The way you think determines how you feel and that determines how you act-
4-It is a tragedy to go through life and leave the world without ever telling those you love that you loved them-
5-Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A computer can make as many mistakes in two seconds as 20 men working 20 years can make-
I'VE LEARNED-You forget names, but it is okay because other people forget they even knew you-
DID YOU KNOW-The now extinct ancestor of the horse, the eohippus, had a short neck and a pug muzzle and stood no higher than a medium sized dog-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-In old testament times, how did you turn away from the Lord?
2-Will God always forgive when we repent?
3-Do we need to say "forgive me" when we turn to God in repentance or simply do an about face and live differently than before?
4-For what did Joel tell the people they needed to repent of?
5-What is the most famous promise in the book of Joel and when did it come true?
BIBLE TRIVIA-According to Galatians, what people remain under a curse?
Answer for today-Those who attempt to remain under the Law      Galatians 3:10
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Isaiah 59:20-21
20 “Then a Savior will come to Jerusalem
And to the people of Jacob who have turned from sin,”
    Says the Lord.
21 The Lord says, “This is my agreement with these people: My Spirit and my words that I give you will never leave you or your children or your grandchildren, now and forever.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, we thank You for sending Jesus who came as God in the flesh, revealing to us Your character and personhood. You created all things and sustain them by Your powerful hand. That includes us, Your human creation. All that You created You also test. The plant life has tests of stress and endurance in the harsh elements and we, Your human creation, must endure the tests of endurance common to the flesh; whether it is relational, physical, spiritual, emotional or financial. We will endure these tests and turn them into a testimony as we rely on You, for “You will accomplish what concerns me; for You are my sustainer”. You existed before anything else and You hold all creation together. We are immensely grateful and trusting You for another year of blessing, challenge and growth.  Amen

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
