Thursday January 9, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Satan does more harm by sowing tares than by pulling up wheat-
2-If you live as though God does not exist, you'd better be right-
3-Gratitude comes from love.  It is  the natural expression of a loving heart-
4-Worrying doesn't change anything, it is stewing without doing-
5-There is no such thing as a born worrier. It is a learned response-

STRANGE THOUGHT-New systems generate new problems-

I'VE LEARNED-Your kids are becoming you, but your grandchildren are perfect-

DID YOU KNOW-Racehorses have been known to wear out new shoes in one race-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Who was Joel of the old testament book by that name?
2-To whom did Joel direct his message to?
3-Were the locusts that Joel mentions literal locusts or a military invasion against them?
4-Which army invasion against Jerusalem was Joel prophesying about?
5-What does "The day of the Lord" mean and refer to?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who received a promise from God that all persons who cursed him would be cursed themselves?
Answer for today-Abraham   Genesis 12:3

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Isaiah 59:1
1- Surely the Lord’s power is enough to save you.
He can hear you when you ask him for help.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manDaily prayer:Father, though there is much yet to be revealed concerning Your plan for our lives, we’ve been entrusted with a lifetime of inspired Scripture that guides us each day on our earthly journey.  As we walk in unity with You we find You to be the Navigator who directs our paths according to Your Word and in accordance with Your individual plan for our lives. In the midst of tumult or uncertainty Your assurance is our anchor that holds us steady and firm. In the midst of change You are the changeless One. Thank Your for being that great certainty in our lives. Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE
