Saturday January 4, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Love and kindness are never wasted.  They bless both the giver and the receiver-
2-Truth is not a principle, truth is a person-Jesus.
3-When you are grateful, you have no time to be hateful-
4-In creation, God shows us his hand, in salvation he shows us his heart-
5-An empty heart is a far greater misfortune than an empty billfold-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Logic is a systematic method of coming to the wrong conclusion with confidence-
I'VE LEARNED-Don't react to what people say while ignoring how they feel-
DID YOU KNOW-Thoroughbred horses are so thin skinned their veins are visible beneath the skin, especially on the legs-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Where was Jonah vomited back on dry land?
2-When Jonah decided to go to Ninevah after all, how far of a distance was it?
3-Jonah may have had a journey of 1000 miles to Ninevah.  How did he get there and how long did it take, how could he have walked that far and how did he live?
4-What country wouldn't give Moses and the Israelites of exodus permission to pass through their land on the way to the promised land?
5-Is it true that what you do to Israel, God will do to you?
BIBLE TRIVIA-In what story did Jesus place a curse on the unrighteous?
Answer for today   The story of the sheep and the goats    Matthew 25:31-41
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Psalm 130:7
People, put your hope in the Lord
    Because he is loving
    And able to save.
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Thankful manFather, we know that Your time table is pre-ordained in the events that make an eternal difference in our lives. A thousand years can be reckoned as a day and a day as a thousand years. We are a redeemed people because You gave Your only begotten Son so that we would not perish but have eternal life. Just as Simeon and Anna awaited the first coming of the Messiah, we await the second coming of Christ’s return when we will be caught up in the air and will reign forever in the eternal heavens. May we be found steadfast, sober, expectant and alert awaiting the day of Your promised return. Keep us faithful and watchful until that glorious event takes place in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND.
