Monday November 17, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Freedom of choice means you must be willing to live with the consequences of your choices-
2-If you face the light, the shadows must fall behind you-
3-No one can make himself successful by obeying laws-
4-"When and then" thinking is a lie-(When I get what I want then I will be happy)-
5-When you worry you are acting like an atheist-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Some people develop eye strain looking for trouble-

I'VE LEARNED-Often we've exchanged the programs of men for the presence of God-

DID YOU KNOW-A penny whistle has six finger holes-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Jesus said "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel".  Had he not originally included the gentiles?
2-Why did Jesus have to touch the blind man twice before he was healed?
3-Jesus told so many people including his disciples to not tell anyone that he was the Christ.  Why?
4-When Jesus said to Peter "get behind me satan" did he  mean Peter was satan or that satan was speaking through Peter?
5-What did Jesus mean saying "if anyone would follow me, he must deny himself and take up his cross?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who conceived a son after Elisha predicted she would?
Answer for today     The Shunammite woman   2 Kings 4:14-17

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY      Psalm 145:3
The Lord is great and worthy of our praise;
No one can understand how great he is.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we are influenced by many forces that seek to weaken or destroy our relationship with You.  But we resolve that we will seek to draw ever nearer to the One who makes life worthwhile. Your lovingkindness is even better than life, therefore we praise You; we lift up our hands in Your name for You have been our help, our salvation. May my soul follow hard after You as Your right hand upholds me day in and day out through Christ Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy-
