Saturday November 22, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-An encouraging tongue reveals a happy heart-
2-A kind tongue reveals a loving heart-
3-A controlled tongue reveals a peaceful heart-
4-Jesus can heal your hurting heart with his love-
5-Jesus can replace your frustrated heart with his peace-

STRANGE THOUGHT-When a couple marry they become one.  The trouble starts when they try to decide which one-

I'VE LEARNED-Three things that cause anger-hurt--frustration--fear-

DID YOU KNOW-More than one hundred descendants of Johann Sebastian Bach have been cathedral organists-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What causes the excitement of accepting Jesus into your life to turn to disappointment?
2-Can you love your neighbor if you don't like yourself?
3-During the years of Jesus' ministry, how many people believed in him as the Messiah?
4-What did Jesus mean saying "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own life, he cannot be my disciple"?
5-What did Jesus mean saying "If anyone of you does not give up everything, you cannot be my disciple"?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What did Elisha's servant see after Elisha prayed that his eyes would be opened?
Answer for today    An angelic army   2 Kings 6:15-17
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Psalm 11:7
7 The Lord does what is right, and he loves justice,
So honest people will see his face.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we thank You for Jesus’ death on our behalf making it possible for us to be forgiven and walk in newness of life. Our sin nature no longer dominates, but our spiritual nature becomes the driving force behind our thoughts, our actions, and our conversation. In earnest we seek to bring forth abundantly good fruit which brings praise and glory to You, Father. Seeking personal attention, applause, or praise for our fruit would be gratifying the desires of our sin nature turning our good fruits into rotting, infested, and stench-filled fruit fit only for the waste pile.  Because we love righteousness and loathe sinfulness we never want to live the reverse order again. Help us when we do fall and uphold us so we can stand against the enemy and not lapse into doing things the “old familiar” way. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
