Sunday November 23, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Jesus can replace your insecure heart with his love-
2-If possible, it is more rewarding to resolve the conflict than to dissolve the relationship.  It is not easier but it is more rewarding-
3-Bravery cannot exist without fear-
4-Uncontrolled anger reveals deep insecurity and low self esteem-
5-The number one cause of conflict in marriage is selfishness-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Whatever you resent you tend to resemble, because you are emotionally attached to it or them-

I'VE LEARNED-What we worship we are becoming-

DID YOU KNOW-When Beethoven was a child, he made such a poor impression on his music teachers that he was pronounced hopeless as a composer-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How does salt lose it's saltiness?
2-What did Jesus mean saying "He who has ears to hear, let him hear"?
3-In  the story of the lost sheep Jesus said "There is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous person who do not need to repent. Aren't we all sinners? Don't we all need to repent?  What did Jesus mean?
4-What did Jesus mean saying "Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather"?
5-When Jesus returns, will He find faith on the earth?

BIBLE TRIVIA-For whom did Elisha supply water miraculously?
Answer for today   The armies of the kings of Judah, Israel and Edom   2 Kings 3:14-20

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Mark 1:1-8
This is the beginning of the Good News about Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as the prophet Isaiah wrote:
“I will send my messenger ahead of you,
Who will prepare your way.” Malachi 3:1
“This is a voice of one
Who calls out in the desert:
‘Prepare the way for the Lord.
Make the road straight for him.’” Isaiah 40:3
John was baptizing people in the desert and preaching a baptism of changed hearts and lives for the forgiveness of sins. All the people from Judea and Jerusalem were going out to him. They confessed their sins and were baptized by him in the Jordan River. John wore clothes made from camel’s hair, had a leather belt around his waist, and ate locusts and wild honey. This is what John preached to the people: “There is one coming after me who is greater than I; I am not good enough even to kneel down and untie his sandals. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, Your commands do not come with a question mark nor are they intended to provoke debate as to whether we think it in our best interest to follow or reject. Your commands are for our good and your provisions are all that we have need of. Just as you supplied the Israelites manna for food, fire by night, and the cloud by day You lead and provide for us through every season of our life, during the plenty and during the barren times. You are enough for all that we have need of, the greatest need of all being met through Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, who died that we might live forever. Thank You! Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
