Tuesday November 11, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-"Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger"-
2-"The peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus"-
3-"Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not yet seen"-
4-By your works (actions, behavior, etc.) you show your faith-
5-"Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only"-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Old age only comes to those who wait-

I'VE LEARNED-Christianity is about being a servant, not a leader-

DID YOU KNOW-Elizabeth Taylor has appeared on the cover of Life magazine more than anyone else=

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why didn't Jesus want people to be perfectly clear in who he was or what he was saying?
2-What did Jesus mean saying "The son of man has no place to lay his head"?
3-Was Jesus the only one to tell parables?
4-Why was Jesus so harsh on those that after he called them to follow him, wanted to go back and wrap up family affairs and tell them good bye?
5-Why were the demons who possessed the man from Gerasenes afraid Jesus would send them out of the area?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who appeared with Jesus and Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration?
Answer for today     Moses    Luke 9:28-36

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Luke 21:27-28
27 Then people will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 When these things begin to happen, look up and hold your heads high, because the time when God will free you is near!”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Praying man Father, we take to heart the inspired words of James that direct us to confess our sins to one another and to pray one for another. You bring us together in this journey of faith, those who are weak and those who are strong, that we might encourage our brother or sister and stand with them in prayer. You invite us all to Come, those whose joy is morning sun and those weeping through the night. Come, those who tell of battles won, and those struggling in the fight. For Your perfect love will never change, and Your mercies never cease, but follow us through all our days with Your certain hope of peace. We unite in faith through Christ Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
