Thursday November 13, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-God's will for our life is not automatic, he allows us to chose it-
2-"A man's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses"-
3-Measure wealth not by the things you have but by the things you have that you wouldn't sell for money-
4-Real friends offer both hard truths and soft landings and realize that it sometimes is more important to be kind than to be honest-
5-No one should judge another person by what the other person's enemies says about him-

STRANGE THOUGHT-It is not who you are that holds you back.  It is who you think you are not-

I'VE LEARNED-Don't confuse resource with "the source"-

DID YOU KNOW-Howdy Doody had forty eight freckles-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What kind of faith did the woman with a long term bleeding issue have that just by touching the garment of Jesus she would be healed?
2-Why should Jairus believe his daughter would be healed to live again when a family member came and told him she had died?
3-Jesus told many whom he healed to leave and not tell anyone about the miracle he had done for them.  Did he really think they could go home and people not notice the change that occurred in them?
4-Why was it hard for home towners to believe in and accept Jesus for who he really was?
5-Did the twelve apostles who were sent out two by two by Jesus have the same power that Jesus had displayed?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What river did Elijah part by striking it with this mantle?
Answer for today    The Jordan    2 Kings 2:8

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Romans 12:2
Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, signs of the times are evident from virtually every point of the globe as we see flesh and blood battles raging. Scripture also indicates that there are spiritual forces of evil doing battle in the heavenly realms. Even as we see this inevitable consequence of mankind’s rebellion against God, even as the heavenly bodies are shaken, we will remain firm as we stand on Your promises trusting You to see us through the uncertainties of our times. Keep us ever watchful and prayerful so that we may be able to remain faithful through all that is happening as we keep our eyes on the future coronation day when we will stand before the Son of Man in all His glory. We especially pray for our Christian brothers and sisters being targeted specifically because of their faith. Until that day we remain joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.  Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
