Friday November 9, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-"God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble"-
2-Be humble or you will stumble-
3-Humility is having a right estimate of yourself-
4-Humility does not mean thinking less of yourself than of other people, not does it mean having a low opinion of your own gifts or abilities-
5-Humility is freedom from thinking about yourself one way or another-

STRANGE THOUGHT-You don't impress officials at NASA with a paper airplane-

I'VE LEARNED-Do not let your pain make you hate-

DID YOU KNOW-A syzygy  occurs when three astronomical bodies lineup-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How would a pig know if a demon entered it?
2-Do demons need a living host to exist?
3-There were two demon possessed men who approached Jesus on the Gadera road. What happened to the other one?
4-Whatever happened to the two demon possessed Gadera men after being delivered of demons?
5-Why were the Gadera people so afraid of Jesus?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What counselor of Absalom was actually a spy for David?
Yesterday's answer-Dan    Judges 18:2-28

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY      John 5:36-40
36 “But I have a proof about myself that is greater than that of John. The things I do, which are the things my Father gave me to do, prove that the Father sent me.37 And the Father himself who sent me has given proof about me. You have never heard his voice or seen what he looks like. 38 His teaching does not live in you, because you don’t believe in the One the Father sent.39 You carefully study the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. They do in fact tell about me,40 but you refuse to come to me to have that life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manHeavenly Father, when those aboard the ship in Acts 27 were looking at the gloomy forecast that appeared for many days their hopes diminished day by day. So often that’s what leads us to defeat; we fear the raging storm and the damage it will do, instead of looking to the One who controls the wind and waves. We consider those suffering as a result of Hurricane Sandy, reminding us that You are a God of the impossible, bringing hope in the midst of devastation, restoration in the midst of loss. We pray that there will be Christian believers who will bring the life-saving message of Jesus Christ to the hearts of the suffering and bring a message of hope, not based on what they see, but in the hope we have through the Holy Spirit as we trust in You. Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
