Wednesday November 21,2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-God wants you to serve him passionately, not dutifully-
2-People rarely excel at tasks they don't feel passionate about-
3-Meaning is far more important than money-
4-Don't settle for the "good life", aim for the "better life"-
5-You can have a lot to live on but have nothing to live for-

STRANGE THOUGHT-The nicest thing about the future is that is always starts tomorrow-

I'VE LEARNED-Be someone who cares and you will be loved-

DID YOU KNOW-The first product Motorola started to develop was a record player for automobiles.  At that time, the most well known player on the market was the Victrola, so they called themselves Motorola.

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Isn't it interesting that some of the people were critical of Jesus until they needed him to do something for them?
2-Was Jesus' long days, large crowds and growing fame due to his meeting the needs of the endless lines of needy people?
3-Instead of doing all the miracles by himself, why didn't Jesus have the disciple do them while he was with them?
4-Did all the disciples do miracles after Jesus went back to his father?
5-Was the crowd more interested in Jesus' free food  than in his teaching?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What soldier led a revolt against King Elah, made himself king, and then committed suicide after a 7 day reign?
Yesterday's answer-Naaman  2 Kings 5:1

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY  John 6:60-64
60 When the followers of Jesus heard this, many of them said, “This teaching is hard. Who can accept it?”
61 Knowing that his followers were complaining about this, Jesus said, “Does this teaching bother you? 62 Then will it also bother you to see the Son of Man going back to the place where he came from? 63 It is the Spirit that gives life. The flesh doesn’t give life. The words I told you are spirit, and they give life. 64 But some of you don’t believe.” (Jesus knew from the beginning who did not believe and who would turn against him.)

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, we are “richly blessed” when we call upon You to save us from our sins. You desire to share riches of eternal value with the redeemed. Far too many play around with the idea of surrendering their hearts. They think about it in certain settings or when influenced by believing Christians or persuasive Scripture. We pray that they would not just stand outside the door of the kingdom, but take the necessary steps to step inside the kingdom of God by confessing with their mouths and believing in their hearts that Jesus Christ is raised from the dead. When we truly believe and boldly confess we are changed from within and our actions from without. That’s the mark of the true believer. May our lives give evidence of Your redemptive work and boundless blessings. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
