Tuesday November 27, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The Holy Spirit is not a dove-
2-The Holy Spirit is the invisible Jesus with you-
3-Religion pacifies but never satisfies-
4-Sin for a season quenches thirsts, but so does salt water-
5-God made us a little lower than the angels but sin made us no better than satan-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Don't let your heart shrink into a raison-

I'VE LEARNED-Ignorance is a burden-

DID YOU KNOW-All snow crystals are hexagonal-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When did the word "disciple" begin to refer just to the 12 and not all followers?
2-When did the 12 disciples become the 12 apostles?
3-What is the best synonym for the word Christian?
4-How important should rituals and traditions be in our churches today?
5-What does the phrase "ceremonial clean" mean?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Which gospel does not mention the Roman soldier on Calvary who said "Truly this was  a son of God"?
Yesterday's answer-Cornelius     Acts 10:1

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    John 7:14-19
When the feast was about half over, Jesus went to the Temple and began to teach. 15 The people were amazed and said, “This man has never studied in school. How did he learn so much?”
16 Jesus answered, “The things I teach are not my own, but they come from him who sent me. 17 If people choose to do what God wants, they will know that my teaching comes from God and not from me. 18 Those who teach their own ideas are trying to get honor for themselves. But those who try to bring honor to the one who sent them speak the truth, and there is nothing false in them.19 Moses gave you the law,[a] but none of you obeys that law. Why are you trying to kill me?”
Footnotes:
  1. John 7:19 law Moses gave God’s people the Law that God gave him on Mount Sinai (Exodus 34:29–32).

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
