Wednesday November 28, 2012 thought for today

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-God does not compromise the spiritual purity of heaven-
2-Lead a Godless life, expect a Godless eternity-
3-God has no step children or grandchildren-
4-Christians live in the "meantime" of their life, not yet home-
5-In this life we are caught between what is and what will be-

STRANGE THOUGHT-How come it takes so little time for a child who is afraid of the dark to become a teenager who wants to stay out all night?

I'VE LEARNED-Be someone kind and considerate and you will be admired-

DID YOU KNOW-An enneahedron is solid with none faces-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is moral and ethical purity more important than ceremonial purity?
2-If the Temple is Jerusalem was the place for the Jews to worship, what did the Jews do who lived too far away to go there?
3-Were the Jews who went to the Temple to worship any more religious than those who didn't or couldn't?
4-Are many of the church's teachings nothing but rules set by man with authority in the church?
5-Are we ever guilty of honoring God with our lips but with our hearts far from him?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Where was Jesus when a Roman soldier asked him to heal a beloved servant?
Yesterday's answer-John

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   John 7:20-24
20 The people answered, “A demon has come into you. We are not trying to kill you.”
21 Jesus said to them, “I did one miracle, and you are all amazed. 22 Moses gave you the law about circumcision. (But really Moses did not give you circumcision; it came from our ancestors.) And yet you circumcise a baby boy on a Sabbath day. 23 If a baby boy can be circumcised on a Sabbath day to obey the law of Moses, why are you angry at me for healing a person’s whole body on the Sabbath day? 24 Stop judging by the way things look, but judge by what is really right.”
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, You who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until You call me heavenward or until the day of Christ’s return. May I willingly submit and quickly obey Your voice so that I will bear much spiritual fruit. I pray that the Fruit of the Spirit will characterize my life as I faithfully yield to the work of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
