Monday November 26, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-All Christians have God in their life but not all Christians have given their whole life to God-
2-Harbored sin interferes with Holy Spirit circulation-
3-God never promises the absence of distress but does promise the presence of the Holy Spirit-
4-The Holy Spirit puts the love of God in our hearts, not the love for God-
5-Good eyes don't guarantee good ears-

STRANGE THOUGHT-A good time to keep your mouth shut is when you are in deep water-

I'VE LEARNED-Be someone who values truth and you will be some who is respected-

DID YOU KNOW-In 1977, Cairo only had 208,000 telephones and no telephone books-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When Jesus asked his disciples "Are you going to leave me also?" did he really think they would?
2-Isn't it confusing for Jesus to say he is the "bread of life" and that his body is this bead and then say "Anyone who eats this bread from heaven will live forever"?
3-If we had been in the group of people who heard Jesus and then walked away because he sounded so confusing, would we have been any different from them?
4-Jesus had said to Peter "Get behind me satan" and in another setting with the disciples said "One of you is a devil".  These are men he chose.  What's going on?
5-Does it seem that at times when Jesus was talking to his followers he purposely tried to confuse them?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What Roman soldier was led to Christ by Peter?
Yesterday's answer-Amasa   2 Samuel 17:25

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    John 7:10-13
10 But after Jesus’ brothers had gone to the feast, Jesus went also. But he did not let people see him. 11 At the feast some people were looking for him and saying, “Where is that man?”
12 Within the large crowd there, many people were whispering to each other about Jesus. Some said, “He is a good man.”
Others said, “No, he fools the people.” 13 But no one was brave enough to talk about Jesus openly, because they were afraid of the elders.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather Your truths do not fluctuate nor are they subject to reinterpretation by the “expert” philosophers of our day. Your truths are explained through the inspiration of Your Holy Word and understanding given to us by Your Holy Spirit.  May our ears be open and our eyes focused to see that Your truth is the same yesterday, today and forever.  Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD-
