Monday November 19, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Change always starts first in your mind-
2-The way you think determines the way you feel, and the way you feel influences the way you act-
3-Someone needs to hear words of love and affirmation from you today.  Don't assume they already know you love them.  Tell them!-
4-Your "heart" represents the source of all your emotions, what you love to do and what you care about the most-
5-Successful people do what they need to do when they need to do it, over and over again, even when they don't feel like doing it-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Always be yourself because the people that matter don't mind and the ones that mind don't matter-

I'VE LEARNED-Smile for you don't know all the problems in the world-

DID YOU KNOW-Back in the mid to late 1980's, an IBM compatible computer wasn't considered 100 percent compatible unless it could run Microsoft's Flight Simulator-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-After Jesus did the feeding the crowd miracle, he went up into a mountainside to pray and did so for all night.  What would he have prayed about and how could he have done so for so long and not fallen asleep as tired as he was?
2-Since there was no one with Jesus on the mountainside, how did the Gospel writer know what Jesus did?
3-When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water of Lake Galilee, were they terrified at what they saw or did they think they were seeing an illusion?
4-How did the disciples handle seeing Jesus do one supernatural experience after another?
5-When Jesus was preaching and teaching, was there anything he could not do?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What Gittite soldier supported David during the rebellion of Absalom?
Yesterday's answer-John  19:34

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    John 6:46-51
46 No one has seen the Father except the One who is from God; only he has seen the Father. 47 I tell you the truth, whoever believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread that gives life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but still they died. 50 Here is the bread that comes down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will never die.51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give up so that the world may have life.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Praying man
Father, help us to labor wholeheartedly according to Your command. We want to bless You with a grateful attitude and bless our workplace in regard to our productivity and loyalty. We thank You for our daily provision and blessing that comes through the work of our hands. We also thank You for our employers who provide our paychecks to meet our monetary needs. We pray for those seeking employment that You will provide work but until that financial door opens we pray that You will provide through unexpected means and the generosity of others. As You bless us through the work of our hands we in turn bless You by faithfully giving back to You a generous portion to finance Your kingdom through the local church, Christian ministries, and other worthy endeavors. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD-
