Thursday November 1, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-You can give love by first having received it-
2-Kindness has a way of inviting honesty-
3-If you want to learn how to forgive, consider how you've received it-
4-Instructing people to love without telling them they are loved is like telling them to write a check without our making a deposit in their account-
5-Anyone who has been given a ring but not a heart, criticism but never a chance, a bed but never rest is the victim of futility-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Liquidity is when you look at your investments and wet your pants-

I'VE LEARNED-There is always something to be thankful for-

DID YOU KNOW-A full moon always rises at sunset-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-What is the main point of the parable of the fish and net?
2-What is the main point of the parable of the house owner?
3-What does the term "Kingdom of Heaven" mean?
4-Could Jesus have told stories without using parables with hidden meanings?
5-Why didn't Jesus want the unbelieving people to know the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What empire's taxation led to Jesus being born in Bethlehem?
Yesterday's answer-Artaxerxes    Ezra 7:24

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    John 4:46-54

46 Jesus went again to visit Cana in Galilee where he had changed the water into wine. One of the king's important officers lived in the city of Capernaum, and his son was sick.47 When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to Jesus and begged him to come to Capernaum and heal his son, because his son was almost dead. 48 Jesus said to him, "You people must see signs and miracles before you will believe in  me."
49 The officer said, "Sir, come before my child dies."
50 Jesus answered, "Go. Your son will live."
The man believed what Jesus told him and went home.51 On the way the man's servants came and met him and told him, "Your son is alive."
52 The man asked, "What time did my son begin to get well?"
They answered, "Yesterday at one o'clock the fever left him."
53 The father knew that one o'clock was the exact time that Jesus had said, "Your son will live." So the man and all the people who lived in his house believed in Jesus.
54 That was the second miracle Jesus did after coming from Judea to Galilee.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manDaily prayer: Father, our own story inspires and spurs us on to pray for our loved ones who just don’t get it. Though we’ve prayed year after year and have felt great frustration at their willful defiance to spiritual truths we pray for them again. Not one of them is a lost cause, but rather a fragile lost soul with a rough exterior who has yet to recognize or acknowledge his need for redemption from a life of sin. Thank You, Father, that You save the vilest offender who surrenders his will to You.  All who come to Christ are miracles of Your grace and we commit our loved one(s) to You once again believing You for his or her miracle of redemption. In Christ’s Name we pray. Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
