Saturday March 2, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-It is impossible to love others until you really feel loved yourself-
2-Love is a choice and it is a commitment-
3-Every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them-
4-Never is a long time-
5-How much you love a person is shown by how you act toward that person-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Can the calf of your leg eat the corn off your toe?

I'VE LEARNED-There is a difference in intelligence and education-

DID YOU KNOW-If you toss a penny 10,000 times, it will not be heads 5,000 times but more like 49,950.  The head picture weighs more so it ends up on the bottom more often-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why were the burial clothes folded neatly in Jesus' empty tomb?
2-When Jesus "descended into hell" while in the grave, was his body still entombed?
3-Whatever happened to Jesus' physical body?
4-Why did Jesus refer to his father as "My God"?
5-Did Mary Magdalene have a stronger faith in Jesus than did the disciples?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What king of Judah tore down Jeroboam's altar at Bethel and pounded the stones into dust?
Yesterday's answer-Abraham   Genesis 22:9

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    John 16:12-15
12 “I have many more things to say to you, but they are too much for you now. 13 But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words, but he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is to come. 14 The Spirit of truth will bring glory to me, because he will take what I have to say and tell it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take what I have to say and tell it to you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, as we hate that which is evil and cling to that which is good we must be clear in our minds about good and evil. We don’t write our own playbook based upon popularity polls or by that which makes us “cool” or “staying up with the times” based on the trends of our society. We look to the ancient words of Scripture, honored by godly men and women, boys and girls throughout the centuries who believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures, who held to its teachings and lived by the standards as prescribed within the Word. May it always be our reference point in judging that which is evil and that which is good. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND.
