Friday September 21, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Everybody can be great because everyone can serve-
2-God wants to change your life not just rearrange it-
3-God doesn't give you spiritual gifts for your benefit only-
4-Fear causes many people to bury the spiritual gifts they have-
5-God does not remove our capability to sin but he does remove our desire to live a sinful life-

STRANGE THOUGHT-A desk is a dangerous place from which to view the world-

I'VE LEARNED-I wish I could have told my mom that I loved her one more time before she passed away-

DID YOU KNOW-A forfeited game in baseball is recorded as a 9-0 score.  In football, it is recorded as a 1-0 score-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Do sinners and Christians alike go through the judgement?
2-Is the "Judgement" a one time event when all whoever lived stand before God or is it a continuous event happening as people die?
3-Are we too proud of the commandments we do keep?
4-Is something a gift without it being received?
5-Can you experience joy and not sadness?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What character in a parable wasted his money on prostitutes?
Yesterday's answer-John  Revelation 17:5

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    John 1:1-5
1 In the beginning there was the Word.[a] The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.3 All things were made by him, and nothing was made without him.4 In him there was life, and that life was the light of all people. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered[b] it.
Footnotes:
  1. John 1:1 Word The Greek word is "logos," meaning any kind of communication; it could be translated "message." Here, it means Christ, because Christ was the way God told people about himself.
  2. John 1:5 overpowered This can also be translated, "understood."
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, we are “richly blessed” when we call upon You to save us from our sins. You desire to share riches of eternal value with the redeemed. Far too many play around with the idea of surrendering their hearts. They think about it in certain settings or when influenced by believing Christians or persuasive Scripture. We pray that they would not just stand outside the door of the kingdom, but take the necessary steps to step inside the kingdom of God by confessing with their mouths and believing in their hearts that Jesus Christ is raised from the dead. When we truly believe and boldly confess we are changed from within and our actions from without. That’s the mark of the true believer. May our lives give evidence of Your redemptive work and boundless blessings. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
