Tuesday September 18, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Example is a lesson that all can read-
2-High tech has changed us from being pen pals to e mail friends-
3-One who cannot forgive others breaks the bridge over which they themselves must pass for everyone has need to be forgiven-
4-Forgiveness is the fragrance the flower sheds on the heel that crushed it-
5-Childhood is like a mirror which reflects in later life the images presented on it-

STRANGE THOUGHT-To write with a broken pencil is pointless-

I'VE LEARNED-Life is tough but I am tougher-

DID YOU KNOW-Karate actually originated in India-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What does it mean to "keep the Sabbath holy"?
2-How do you "keep the Sabbath holy"?
3-Do you keep the Sabbath holy by actions or attitudes?
4-Does it really matter for the Christian which day is their Sabbath as long as they have it one day a week?
5-Can we honor our parents and not obey them?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What two New Testament epistles speak of the righteousness of the prostitute Rahab?
Yesterday's answer-Jephthah   Judges 11:1

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Matthew 28:8-10
8 The women left the tomb quickly. They were afraid, but they were also very happy. They ran to tell Jesus' followers what had happened. 9 Suddenly, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings." The women came up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, "Don't be afraid. Go and tell my followers to go on to Galilee, and they will see me there."

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, we who have received Your grace, place our faith in You. We choose to walk uprightly with integrity and conviction. Our words and actions declare the pure, unadulterated counsel of Your Holy Word to other faithful leaders, trusting them to pass on that which has been entrusted to us. In doing so we are faithful stewards of that which You commanded of us through the great commission: “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every nation…”. We do this through Christ Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
