Saturday September 8, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-If you are carrying your cross you don't have the strength to carry anything else-
2-If you are quick to listen and slow to speak, you will automatically be slow to anger-
3-Hurting people always hurt other people-
4-When we understand things, we are much more patient-
5-Jesus is God spilling out himself in a language man can understand-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I want to become a vegetarian, but I'm, not sure I can quit eating meat cold turkey-

I'VE LEARNED-Money doesn't buy class-

DID YOU KNOW-Nearly all sumo wrestlers have flat feet and big bottoms-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Can a person who says they love God, not obey him fully?
2-Is the placing of a "fleece" a way of trying to manipulate God?
3-Is the placing of a "fleece" a way of not making a decision?
4-What is an "Ephod"?
5-Did Hannah ever see Samuel again after giving him to Eli the priest to live with him?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What king's wife disguised herself in order to consult the prophet Ahijah?
Yesterday's answer-Sari, wife of Abram   Genesis 12:10-20

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Matthew 27:24-26
24 When Pilate saw that he could do nothing about this and that a riot was starting, he took some water and washed his hands[a] in front of the crowd. Then he said, "I am not guilty of this man's death. You are the ones who are causing it!"
25 All the people answered, "We and our children will be responsible for his death."
26 Then he set Barabbas free. But Jesus was beaten with whips and handed over to the soldiers to be crucified.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, we desire to have You lead us in the paths of righteousness that lead us in the way everlasting. Sometimes the next step we take is clearly visible and other times it is a step of faith as darkness seems to veil Your leading. As we earnestly pray we can trust You who stilled the tempest and turned darkness into light. We pray for discernment and a willing spirit to follow Your leading in all matters, no matter the outcome. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND.
