Sunday September 30, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-If you want to change your life you need to change what you are thinking about-
2-The root cause of stress is the way you choose to think-
3-What ever your past has been you can have a spotless future-
4-God's ways are behind the scenes and he moves all the scenes he is behind-
5-We cannot undo the past but we can leave the past behind-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Aim low, reach your goals, avoid disappointments-

I'VE LEARNED-The greatness of a man is not how much wealth he acquires but in his integrity and ability to affect positively those around him-

DID YOU KNOW-A wind with speed of 74 miles per hour or more is designated a hurricane-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When did the disciples become apostles?
2-Did Jesus ever get sick?
3-Jesus said "God has sent me to  the lost sheep of Israel".  Were the gentiles not to be included?
4-Did the disciples ever need physical healing from Jesus?
5-Did Jesus ever do a mass healing or were they all individual healing's?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What prophet warned the priest Amaziah that his wife would become a prostitute?
Yesterday's answer-1 Corinthians 6:15-16

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    John 1:35-39
35 The next day John[a] was there again with two of his followers.36 When he saw Jesus walking by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!"[b]
37 The two followers heard John say this, so they followed Jesus. 38 When Jesus turned and saw them following him, he asked, "What are you looking for?"
They said, "Rabbi, where are you staying?" ("Rabbi" means "Teacher.")
39 He answered, "Come and see." So the two men went with Jesus and saw where he was staying and stayed there with him that day. It was about four o'clock in the afternoon.
Footnotes:
  1. John 1:35 John John the Baptist, who preached to people about Christ's coming (Matthew 3, Luke 3).
  2. John 1:36 Lamb of God Name for Jesus. Jesus is like the lambs that were offered for a sacrifice to God.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, You have commissioned us, as believers, to reach the lost, inviting them to surrender their lives to Jesus and receive forgiveness of sins.  It is at their point of surrender that we witness the supernatural working of the Holy Spirit; cleansing, restoring, purging, and maturing the young believer toward good works in Christ. We thank You for the cleansing work of the Holy Spirit at work in each of us who come to faith, equipping us with the endurance and perseverance needed to walk our journey of faith in the midst of an increasingly hostile and unaccepting society. It is through Jesus that we come to You in prayer. Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
