Sunday September 16, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-It is not how long you live, or even how much you cram into how long you live, it is really about how you live-
2-It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in an argument-
3-God cannot change what you don't give him-
4-For every credibility gap, there is a gullibility gap-
5-Jesus taught that there is nothing more important than relationships-

STRANGE THOUGHT-You can't stop progress, but you can unplug a good chunk of it-

I'VE LEARNED-We must be willing to get rid of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us-

DID YOU KNOW-The game of squash originated in the UK-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When Jesus was born, why was it the right time for his coming and not some other time?
2-Is God's forgiving conditional?
3-When did Sunday become the first day of the week?
4-Should Christians today observe or celebrate the Sabbath?
5-Do we serve or celebrate communion?

BIBLE TRIVIA-According to Paul, who masquerades as an angel of light?
Yesterday's answer-Ahab  1 Kings 20:35-43

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Matthew 27:62-66
62 The next day, the day after Preparation Day, the leading priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate. 63 They said, "Sir, we remember that while that liar was still alive he said, 'After three days I will rise from the dead.'64 So give the order for the tomb to be guarded closely till the third day. Otherwise, his followers might come and steal the body and tell people that he has risen from the dead. That lie would be even worse than the first one."
65 Pilate said, "Take some soldiers and go guard the tomb the best way you know."66 So they all went to the tomb and made it safe from thieves by sealing the stone in the entrance and putting soldiers there to guard it.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, You are the Great Provider who meets all our needs.  There is nothing we lack when we commit our ways to You and ask You to provide for us. You know what we have need of before we ask it, but You are pleased that we bring it to You and acknowledge You to be the One who provides for all our natural, physical, and spiritual needs. When our hearts are secure, we will have no fear, for in the end we will look in triumph on our foes. That’s because we serve You, our faithful, caring, and generous God, who faithfully watches over us providing us with Your daily mercies.  We thank You as we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
