Wednesday September 19, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Be what you would make others to be-
2-The magic formula for successful businesses is to treat customers like guests and employees like people-
3-The deeper the sin the deeper the cleansing-
4-Everyday, seemingly insignificant things can become divine, life altering tools in the hands of compassionate followers of Jesus-
5-The relationships that already exist in your life can serve as fertile ground for God to do some serious seed sowing through you-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Mouse potato-the electronics generation to the couch potato-

I'VE LEARNED-Opportunities are never lost, someone will take the ones you miss-

DID YOU KNOW-The only bone not broken so far during any ski accident is the one located in the inner ear-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When do we no longer do what our parents want us to do?
2-Do children need to obey a parent's wrongful or sinful directive?
3-When we die do our bodies need to be resurrected?
4-What is a "Glorified body"?
5-When a Christian dies and the soul goes directly to be with Jesus, why do they need a resurrected body?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What king served as a judge when two prostitutes fought over a child?
Yesterday's answer-James (2:25) and (Hebrews 11:31)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY      Matthew 28:11-15
11 While the women went to tell Jesus' followers, some of the soldiers who had been guarding the tomb went into the city to tell the leading priests everything that had happened. 12 Then the priests met with the elders and made a plan. They paid the soldiers a large amount of money 13 and said to them, "Tell the people that Jesus' followers came during the night and stole the body while you were asleep.14 If the governor hears about this, we will satisfy him and save you from trouble."15 So the soldiers kept the money and did as they were told. And that story is still spread among the people even today.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Praying man
Father, help us to labor wholeheartedly according to Your command. We want to bless You with a grateful attitude and bless our workplace in regard to our productivity and loyalty. We thank You for our daily provision and blessing that comes through the work of our hands. We also thank You for our employers who provide our paychecks to meet our monetary needs. We pray for those seeking employment that You will provide work but until that financial door opens we pray that You will provide through unexpected means and the generosity of others. As You bless us through the work of our hands we in turn bless You by faithfully giving back to You a generous portion to finance Your kingdom through the local church, Christian ministries, and other worthy endeavors. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
