Monday September 8, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-A worshipping body of believers is not a gathering of like minded people, or those with a high degree of faith or knowledge concerning spiritual matters, rather a diverse group with remarkable variance of personalities and attitudes toward Jesus-
2-It is God who is seeking you and me and he has unlimited ways of finding us-
3-If you have ever truly been forgiven, you have experienced the Spirit of God-
4-Evangelism is not a matter of talking about the Christian faith but of living it.  "Show don't tell" for your showing will do the telling-
5-Abuse is not something that can be wiped away as if it never happened for healing takes much time-

STRANGE THOUGHT-If the clothes fit, they are ugly-

I'VE LEARNED-The largest room in the world is the room for improvement-

DID YOU KNOW-James Garfield could write Latin with one hand and Greek with the other -simultaneously-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Eli have a wife to help him raise Samuel?
2-How old were Eli's two sons when appointed priests?
3-Did Eli's two sons have any mother's influence in their lives?
4-How could Eli, a Godly high priest, tolerate his sons ungodly behavior?
5-Was Eli afraid of his two sons?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What Greek ruler's reign is usually considered to be predicted in the Book of Daniel?
Answer for today-Alexander the Great   Daniel 11:2-4

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   John 1:12
12 But to all who did accept him and believe in him he gave the right to become children of God.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather God, today I thank you for the blessings I share with my brothers and sisters in Christ all around the world. It’s great to be a part of the family of God, sharing redemption through your Son, Jesus Christ. I pray for my family right now asking You to be a very present help amongst the turmoil from these enduring fiery trials. We pray that many turn to you through this for you are the God of peace. We pray for our brothers and sisters enduring fiery trials whom we’ve never met and probably won’t on this side. But we have a spiritual kinship although our present lives are vastly different. Encourage and strengthen them today. May all who suffer find assurance from the prayers and interest of believers half way around the world. Finally we pray for all suffering through a fiery trial regardless of the nature. May they have eyes of hope and faith to see the glorious truth and “rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy” In the mighty Name of Jesus.  Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!
