Thursday September 25, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Love is not just what God does, it is who he is-
2-God's love makes you significant-
3-We love God because he first loved us-
4-The number one competitor for our heart is money-
5-More money doesn't buy happiness although it might make life a little easier-

STRANGE THOUGHT-It was so cold this morning that when I turned the shower on, I got hail-

I'VE LEARNED-If Satan can neutralize you, he can mute your influence-

DID YOU KNOW-President Carter was the first US president born in a hospital

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Explain being "born again"-
2-Is there always confession and repentance of sin before receiving God's salvation?
3-Is there a difference in saying "I'm sorry" and saying "please forgive me"?
4-Can God cancel the consequences of your choices to sin?
5-If and when God is truly first in our lives, how would our lives be different?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What bird served as a miracle food for the Israelites?
Answer for today   Quail   Exodus 16:11-13

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY       1 John 2:5-6
But if someone obeys God’s teaching, then in that person God’s love has truly reached its goal. This is how we can be sure we are living in God: Whoever says that he lives in God must live as Jesus lived.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father God, we are a chosen generation, a people set apart to show forth the praises of Christ who has called us out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Since You have illumined our darkness we will not conceal it, but rather shine forth wherever we are; in the marketplace, in our homes, in the business place, in the neighborhood, in the voting booth, in church and wherever we have opportunity to bring forth light in this world of darkness. We can make a difference and want to do so. We want to witness faithfully of the light of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord in whose name we pray.  Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
