Tuesday September 2, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Witnessing is trusting God in front of others of what you are going through-
2-Christians are not to trust how we feel but to trust in what God says-
3-Our prayer needs to be--"God, don't Let me drift away from you"-
4-Agape love is a selfless love-
5-Everything God does he does in the center of his love-
STRANGE THOUGHT-As soon as you sit down with a hot cup of coffee, your wife will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold-
I'VE LEARNED-Every day you should reach out and touch someone-holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back-
DID YOU KNOW-Before winning the presidential election in 1860, Abraham Lincoln lost eight elections for various offices-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-From where did Jacob get his contriving spirit?
2-Jacob was a liar and a cheater-which was worse?
3-Isaac had doubts that the person he was blessing was really Esau.  Why didn't he follow up on his instincts?
4-Did Isaac know from previous experience that Jacob was a liar and a deceiver?
5-Had Rebekah and Jacob previously deceived Isaac that gave him reason to doubt who his son said he was?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What strongman was ordained before his birth to deliver Israel from the philistines?
Answer for today   Samson  Judges 13:2-5
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY      John 3:5-6
But Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born from water and the Spirit, you cannot enter God’s kingdom. Human life comes from human parents, but spiritual life comes from the Spirit.
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Thankful manFather in heaven, we pray for our fathers on earth, our grandfathers, husbands and sons that they will pursue godliness above all earthly pursuits. We pray that they will resist the temptation to fall into the devil’s trap where foolishness and harmful desires will plunge them to ruin resulting in disappointment, loss and heartache. Help them to flee from all this and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Help them to lead their families in the good fight of faith as they take hold of eternal life. Make them strong in their faith so that they throw away anything that hinders their spiritual walk or that of their wife or children. In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
