Sunday September 21, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-A lonely, loveless life cuts much deeper into your soul than any heartbreak ever will-
2-Start doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible-
3-The Christian life is more than giving up bad habits.  It is acquiring a newness of mind which comes from setting your heart and mind on Jesus-
4-"Be over flowing with thanksgiving"-
5-"Set your hearts on things above"-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Forget love,  I'd rather fall in chocolate-

I'VE LEARNED-Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth-

DID YOU KNOW-President Lyndon B Johnson was the first president of the US to wear contact lenses-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What keeps us from getting as close to God as possible?
2-Do you know you have good character without being tested?
3-What is our life worth?
4-Is it possible to be completely "pure of heart"?
5-Can we "be perfect therefore as your heavenly father is perfect"?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Ezekiel was lifted up by a spirit, which held him between earth and heaven.  What was the spirit holding on to?
Answer for today   a lock of Ezekiel's hair    Ezekiel 8:1-3

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Hebrews 2:14-15
14 Since these children are people with physical bodies, Jesus himself became like them. He did this so that, by dying, he could destroy the one who has the power of death—the devil— 15 and free those who were like slaves all their lives because of their fear of death.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, we hold onto the confidence we have in You, knowing that in Your appointed time we will receive the full range of rewards that comes to those who remain steadfast in their walk with You. We have already received the reward of peace that comes from knowing our sins are forgiven. We are rewarded with Your daily presence that guides us into all truth. But we only see in part the rewards in this life that You grant to the believer, for we know You have much stored up for us to enjoy in the future eternal setting of heaven. Help us to hold on, not give up, and to greatly anticipate our future reward of eternity with You, for the half has not yet been told. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
