Tuesday September 9, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-How humans treat one another is related to their concept of God-
2-To say "you fool" is to negate God's presence in a creature God has made.
It is to invite God's absence which is often a definition of hell-
3-The final judgement is being called to account for the way we have lived-
4-It is hope that enables us to live day by day-
5-I think the greatest sin of the Christian is judging another persons sins and failures-

STRANGE THOUGHT-A closed mouth gathers no feet-

I'VE LEARNED-You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle 5 things-a rainy day-the elderly-an auto accident, a traffic jam and tangled Christmas tree lights-

DID YOU KNOW-Grover Cleveland was a draft dodger.  He hired someone to enter the service in his place.

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Had Eli ever raised any other boys besides Samuel and his two sons?
2-Referring to the 2 sons of Eli, 1 Samuel says "The Lord desired to put them to death".  Was there no atonement for them?
3-Did Samuel know about the wickedness of Eli's two sons?
4-Did Eli have any grandchildren?
5-Could Eli have had his 2 sons killed for their sinful behavior?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What prophet was ordained before birth to be God's messenger?
Answer for today    Jeremiah 1:5

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Psalm 77:13-14
13 God, your ways are holy.
No god is as great as our God.
14 You are the God who does miracles;
You have shown people your power.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, we’re grateful for those throughout history who chose to be men and women of faith, whose hearts were fashioned in Your image, for those who served Your purpose in their generation. We also want to serve Your purpose in our generation.  Help us to stay steadfast and strong as we run this race set before us.  Thankfully, in this race, we’re not in competition to be the only prizewinner. Instead we take hold of the hands of those who run with us and invite those on the sidelines to join us.  We want to cross the finish line together so that we will all receive the grand prize of life eternal with You.  May we never give up! Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
