HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-As long as there is evil in the world, there has to be judgement.  Every sin, evil, wrong has to be brought to an end-

2-If evil were allowed to enter heaven, it would cease to be heaven because it would have evil in it-

3-"All the ways of a man are right in his own eyes"-

4-You can never judge yourself by your own standards-

5-In the sight of a righteous God, our lust becomes as adultery and our hatred as murder-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-If you don't feel well, make an appointment to go to the doctor.  By the time you get there you will feel better.  But don't make an appointment and you will stay sick-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Remember, others may hate you but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them, and you destroy yourself-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Theodore Roosevelt was the first to announce to the world that Maxwell House coffee is "good to  the last drop"-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Why did Samuel's two sons turn out evil just as the two sons of Eli had?

2-Was Samuel not a good father?

3-Should we always focus on the present?

4-If Samuel's 2 sons were evil, who would he have appointed as judges over Israel instead of appointing a king as the people wanted?

5-Why did the Israelites feel inferior without having a king to lead them as their neighbors did?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-What Psalm, usually assumed to have been written by David, talks about God knowing him before his birth?

² “When I was in danger,
    I called to the Lord,
    And he answered me.
I was about to die,
    So I cried to you,
    And you heard my voice.

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Father, it is Your desire that we stay faithful to Your teachings. Scripture gives many examples of those who knew to do right, but chose to do wrong. The consequences of their wrong actions inflicted a great deal of loss, life-long regret and emotional pain. Help us to avoid the traps Satan has set for the believers by not only reading the Word, but applying its truth to our lives, and standing firm when the temptation to do wrong is ever before us.
