Monday January 18, 2016 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Feelings are always the result of what we are thinking-
2-Christians should put their faith into application and not into discussion-
3-Emotion cannot separate reality from fantasy-
4-The result of truth heard depends on the condition of the heart-
5-To change your feelings, change what you are thinking-

STRANGE THOUGHT-When my children are boisterous and unruly, I use a nice safe playpen.  When they settle down, I climb out of it-

I'VE LEARNED-It is never too late to be happy, but it all is up to you and no one else-

DID YOU KNOW-for all my ketchup loving friends-it was originated in China-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-If Jesus, who is in heaven with his father, feels sorrow and grief for his followers on earth, could others in heaven grieve also?
2-Is the eternal heaven a place or a state of being?
3-Did all of the universe fall under the curse of sin when Adam and Eve sinned, or just the earth?
4-Did the serpent's seduction of Adam and Eve catch God by surprise and cause him to come up with an alternate plan?
5-When Adam and Eve sinned, why didn't God start over and make a new first couple?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What phenomenal event, described in Joshua, is also said to be described in the "book of Jashar'?
Answer for today     The sun standing still    Joshua 10:13

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    1 Timothy 6:11-12
11 But you, man of God, run away from all those things. Instead, live in the right way, serve God, have faith, love, patience, and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, grabbing hold of the life that continues forever. You were called to have that life when you confessed the good confession before many witnesses.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

God, help me find righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness so that I may serve you as a good soldier,  in Jesus name-amen

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
