Saturday january 30, 2016 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Faith is not intimidated by mountains-
2-Don't trade something crucial for something pleasing-
3-No place in the new testament was Jesus ever asked for forgiveness, he always offered it-
4-Over the long haul, it is impossible to give away more than you receive-
5-It is not where you are that counts, it is the direction you are heading-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Parallel lines have so much in common it is a shame they will never meet-
I'VE LEARNED-Don't take yourself so seriously for no one else does-
DID YOU KNOW-Dinner guests during the medieval times in England were expected to bring their own knives to the table-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is mind renewal done in an instant or in a process?
2-What was the allure of mystery cults in ancient times?
3-Is true wisdom the same for everyone?
4-Why was the christian way called "the gospel of foolishness"?
5-What does the bible mean saying "God will destroy the wisdom of the wise"?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus, whom ye killed by hanging on a cross"?
Answer for today   Peter  Acts 5:30
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Psalm 121:1-3
121 I look up to the hills,
But where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    Who made heaven and earth.
He will not let you be defeated.
He who guards you never sleeps
PRAYER FOR THE DAY

God, show me where I have been looking for help instead of looking to you, and enable me to put those things aside.  I want to focus more fully on you. Amen!
TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BESSING, BE A FRIEND, ENCOURAGE SOMEONE, TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND-
