Monday October 27, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-In time of difficulty, prayer should be our first choice not our last resort-
2-With every high there is a low.  After every victory there is a let down.  With every blessing comes a time of testing-
3-Peace is not problem free living-
4-You are as joyful as you chose to be-
5-Humility is freedom from your own ego-

STRANGE THOUGHT-The two hardest things to handle in life are failure and success-

I'VE LEARNED-When it comes to prayer, don't confuse length with sincerity-

DID YOU KNOW-Einstein's last words were in German.  Because the attending nurse did not understand German, his last words will never be known-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why did Jesus say that anyone who says "you fool" will be in danger of the fires of hell?
2-Is it always possible to "do unto others as you would have them do to you"?
3-Is your heart only where your treasure is?
4-Can the blind lead the blind?
5-What did Jesus mean saying "Do not give dogs what is sacred"?

BIBLE TRIVIA-When the plague of hail come, where was the one place it did not fall?
Answer for today    In Goshen, where the Israelites swelled    Exodus 9:26

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful and will give you strength and will protect you from the Evil One.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, Your creation has unlimited visual stimuli that is seen by our eyes today, but according to Scripture even our heart and our mind can see. Many philosophies and principles come to us through our mind, but we want the eyes of our heart to embrace only that which will keep our hearts pure, that sorts truth from error, good from bad.  May the eyes of our heart reject teachings that are inconsistent with our spiritual enlightenment. Help us to sharpen and narrow our heart’s vision to escape the broad way that leads to destruction. Keep our eyes open to the good things You want to reveal and shut our eyes to the “god of this age” whose goal it is to lead us to spiritual poverty and death.  In Your name, Jesus, we pray.  Amen.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy-
