Tuesday October 14, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Everything can change in the blink of an eye, but don't worry for God doesn't blink-
2-Whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experiences to savor, not to endure-
3-Love more with your heart and less with your head-
4-Anything you do in your Christian life is not to earn a reward but because you love Jesus-
5-How much wealth is enough?

STRANGE THOUGHT-Hospitality is making your guests feel at home, even when you wish they were-

I'VE LEARNED-You can't nurture bitterness and at the same time conceal it-

DID YOU KNOW-Aristotle thought blood cooled the brain-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Joseph and Mary have other visitors to see baby Jesus besides the shepherds and later the Magi when Jesus was a toddler?
2-Did Jesus have grandparents and if so when did they first see him?
3-How long after Jesus birth till Joseph and Mary took him to  the temple in Jerusalem to present him to the Lord?
4-What is the "Law of the Lord" as mentioned in Luke in the story of Jesus birth?
5-After taking Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem for his consecration, where did the family go?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What substance, called bread from heaven, fed the Israelites in the wilderness?
Answer for today   Manna   Exodus 16:14-15

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Psalm 139:24
24 See if there is any bad thing in me.
Lead me on the road to everlasting life.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Praying manFather, we ask You to not only open our eyes to that which is around us, but we ask You to open the eyes of our hearts so that we might envision that which is true and that which is false on a spiritual level. When we hide Your Word in our hearts we more quickly discern that which masquerades as good, but its source is from one of Satan’s servants “masquerading as a servant of righteousness.” Because Your Spirit reigns in our hearts and knowledge from Scripture fills our minds, we affirm that which is Scriptural and reject that which is heresy. May we ever be vigilant in attaining Scriptural knowledge and fervent in prayer as we encounter the gods of this age. In the matchless and true name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
