Saturday October 18, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-For the privilege of worshipping and trusting you, my God, I am forever and totally grateful-
2-You can build your life on truth or you can build your life on trends-
3-What matters is not the teacher but the truth.  Teachers come and go but truth is eternal-
4-Learn the truth and then you can discern what is false-
5-Forgiveness is love in action-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Love is the only fire for which there is no insurance-

I'VE LEARNED-The link between God's grace and our peace is mercy-

DID YOU KINOW- Isaac Newton was an ordained priest in the Church of England-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Who were the two disciples of John the Baptist who first went with Jesus?
2-To whose wedding were Jesus and his disciples invited to at Cana of Galilee?
3-At the wedding in Cana, why did Mary tell Jesus the host was out of wine.  Did she really think he could do anything about it?
4-Why did Jesus choose as his first miracle the turning of water into wine?
5-Why did Jesus refer to his body as as temple?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What did the Lord use to part the red sea?
Answer for today   a strong east wind   Exodus 14:21

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Psalm 23:4
Even if I walk through a very dark valley,
    I will not be afraid,
Because you are with me.
Your rod and your shepherd’s staff comfort me.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Praying man Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. From everlasting to everlasting You are God.  A thousand years in Your sight is like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. You sweep men away in the sleep of death; they are like the new grass of the morning though in the morning it springs up new, by evening it is dry and withered. The length of our days is seventy years– or eighty, if we have the strength; they quickly pass, and we fly away.  Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.  Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.  May Your deeds be shown to Your servants, your splendor to their children.  May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us as You establish the work of our hands through Christ Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
