Thursday October 30, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-If you live to be 100, I hope I live to be 100 minus a day, so I never have to live without you-
2-The Bible is a book of faith, not history, biology, biography, science or even philosophy-
3-Education is not the filling of an empty pail, but the lighting of a fire-
4-Genesis isn't just about the beginnings of the human race, it is also about the beginning of evil, and about how and why sin entered human existence-
5-The Israelites were chosen by God for a unique function--to spread the word of God and to make his nature and laws know to the world-

STRANGE THOUIGHT-What does God say when he sneezes?

I'VE LEARNED-To release our hurt we must forgive another.  To release our guilt we must forgive ourselves-

DID YOU KNOW-Benjamin Franklin's peers did not give Him the assignment of writing the Declaration of Independence because they feared he would conceal a joke in it-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What was it about the "sinful woman" who anointed Jesus' feet with her tears and perfume that Jesus said to her "Your sins are forgiven" and "Your faith has saved you, go in peace"?
2-Was it the intent of the "sinful woman" who anointed Jesus' feet to receive forgiveness for her sinful lifestyle?
3-How many women would have been considered disciples of Jesus during his lifetime?
4-The women who followed Jesus and helped support his ministry, did they leave their families to do so?
5-Had the Pharisees ever cast out demons?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What happened to the children who made fun of Elisha's bald head?
Answer for the day    They were torn apart by two bears   2 Kings 2:23-25

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY        Proverbs 12:22
22 The Lord hates those who tell lies
But is pleased with those who keep their promises.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we are so grateful for the rope holders who’ve helped pull us out of despairing situations. Those who have given us an uplifting message, interceded in prayer on our behalf, given of their time and expertise to help us in our dilemma. We too want to be a rope holder and offer a word of encouragement, be a listening ear, and extend tender compassion and mercy to one in need. Help us to be Your hand extended to those in need we pray.  Amen

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
