Monday October 6, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Half truths are lies and a method of deceit-
2-Be grateful and you won't grumble, grumble and you won't be grateful-
3-In order to tune into God's voice we must tune out the world's noise-
4-Faithfulness and prosecution often go hand in hand-
5-When Satan lies to you he is speaking his native language-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I thought I wanted a career but it turns out I just wanted paychecks-

I'VE LEARNED-Your mess can become your message-

DID YOU KNOW-A Flemish artist is responsible for the world's smallest painting in history.
It is a picture of a miller and his mill, and it was painted onto a kernel of corn-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was there anything special about the name "John" that the angel Gabriel told Zachariah to give his son-
2-Was Mary's pregnancy a full term pregnancy?
3-Would we be fearful if we saw an angel as Zachariah did?
4-Was the birth of John to Zachariah and his wife a miraculous birth as both were quite elderly?
5-Was Mary fearful when the angel Gabriel appeared to her?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What did Moses cast into the bitter water at Marah to make it sweet?
Answer for today  a tree  Exodus15:23-25

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Matthew 20:26
Whoever wants to become great among you must serve the rest of you like a servant.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, You are Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Everything within the universe was formed and is sustained by Your command. We are awestruck at Your design and grateful for the ways it benefits us every moment of every day. You are our Rock; Your ways are perfect, and You are perfectly faithful! We give thanks to You today, faithful God, for Your great work in our lives and in Your wonders formed long ago; for our benefit, our enjoyment and as a reminder of how dependent we are on Your faithfulness and goodness. Amen.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy-
