Tuesday October 7, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-As the body craves oxygen so the human spirit craves God-
2-Sin is the perversion of good, a cheaper form of something better.  It is not just things we have done or not done, it is a perversion at the very core of our being that causes us to deify ourselves and demand our own way-
3-By and large the American culture will accept any set of values, beliefs and behavior so long as it is not decidedly Christian-
4-While looking for the truth, don't settle for deception-
5-Jesus did not suffer and die on a cross to provide cheap grace-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you

I'VE LEARNED-Rather than ask God to change your circumstances, ask him to use your circumstances to change you-

DID YOU KNOW-Leonardo DA Vinci spent twelve years painting Mona Lisa's lips-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why was Mary so quickly convinced of the validity of the angel Gabriel's message to her?
2-What did the angel Gabriel mean when he said to Mary "The power of the most high will overshadow you"?
3-Was Elizabeth's life any different after she heard the voice of Mary and was "filled with the holy spirit"?
4-Did Mary travel alone when she went to visit Elizabeth, Zachariah's wife?  If not, who traveled with her?
5-Did Mary stay with Elizabeth and Zachariah until the time baby John was born?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What happened to Aaron's staff when placed in the Tent of Meeting?
Answer for today    It sprouted and blossomed and bore almonds   Numbers 17

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY      John 13:15
15 I did this as an example so that you should do as I have done for you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, we’re grateful for the supernatural work You perform in our lives. Help us to follow Your leading in the small day to day promptings we receive from Your Spirit as we go about our activities. The way You cared for Moses is a great reminder that we are never without hope and our circumstances are never too grave when we walk in Your ways and trust You for that which concerns us. Amen

WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
